Text Box: Horsemanship Clinics Horsemanship clinics are designed to allow 10-20 students per clinic that bring their horse to learn and work on basic horsemanship skills and improve their communication with their horse.  Some subjects are: Getting to know and understand your horse Communicating basic maneuvers Pressure and release and the reward Proper Equipment Usage Proper Hands and Legs Proper Circles A correct whoa   Trail Riding Fun & Safety This clinic will help make trail riding more enjoyable and safe.  Teach your horse to trail ride before you go trail riding.   Proper equipment fitting and adjustment What your horse should know before you head out Riding the Trails Crossing Water Dealing with the “spooky” horse Working with a “nervous” horse   Barrel Racing Clinics A clinic for all levels of horses and riders wanting to improve their knowledge and training techniques in barrel racing including:   The basics of barrel racing                       Proper equipment fitting and adjustment Starting a young horse on the pattern Correct hands in barrel racing and its importance When to add speed and how to do slow work Improve your horse’s performance   Ranch Horse Basics (Cattle required for some demonstrations)   A fun and unique clinic teaching individuals to work as partners with their horses and learn how to work with cattle with the least amount of stress.  Also learn how to improve riding abilities to handle and move cattle along with teaching their horses to handle ranch work situations.   Proper equipment fitting and adjustment Teach your horse to work a cow Open country riding Getting your horse use to a rope Logging & roping in the pasture Moving cattle—the right way

Text Box: Dawn and Geff offer seminars and clinics that vary from 2 hours to all day events in which students can bring their own horses for hands on experience.  We provide horse owners the opportunity to learn in a relaxed and fun environment using a common sense perspective.   We teach you how to better communicate with your horse.  Our clinics offer individual attention and consideration to the fact that every horse and every rider are different.  We offer better ways to improve a rider’s horsemanship abilities as well as expand their training and equipment knowledge.  We invite riders of all ages from children to adults.  With the right horse, the right knowledge and the desire to ride, no one is too old to ride and enjoy their love for horses. 

Text Box: Geff and Dawn have both been involved with horses since early childhood.  While they have many years of experience in training horses, sometimes that experience came through hard knocks and mistakes.
